LAURA DE CAMPOS RODRIGUES

Laura is from São Paulo, Brazil; and speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish. She attended Winthrop University where she graduated cum lade with two degrees, International Business and Marketing.

Laura was an International Ambassador and Orientation Leader during her entire college career, leading college recruiting campaigns in Brazil and the United States and guiding student-athletes from all over the world through the recruitment process and through their college years. Laura helped students adjust to life in the United States, guiding them through difficulties with language barriers, cultural differences and life away from home, sharing her knowledge about living and studying overseas. She was a session instructor for the LIFT Conference (Leadership Institute for First Timers) and held global and cultural university-wide events to educate students about communication between different cultures.

 

"Students can contact me at any time, whether they are just exploring the idea of the university or are already here and need some help settling in. The key for my job is to let them know that our team has been in their shoes. We aim to answer questions from prospective students regarding admission requirements, courses, legal requirements for residency, internships etc. Every student has different needs and requirements and we are very open to being asked anything”.

Laura's  work experience as a marketing specialist at major corporations and college career gave her the experience to help players to form and improve their personal brand for their careers, college recruiting and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals. ​
